Whatever
...but apparently not all that high-flying at the DNC. (Take the source into account for what follows--I am awaiting comment from some delegate-acquaintances in Denver.)
I guess the Democrats just felt flags were too old fashioned for Obama. Maybe that's why he took the flag off his plane. The Obama logo is so much more "now".
Can you imagine the decorating committee meeting? "Flags are soooo 2001. We need something hip. How about, like, some stars on abstract backgrounds. Of course, that blue has to go. Can we get something that feels more "sky"? You know, it's like, the environment. Drop the stripes wherever you can, too, they make you look fat."
So if the Democrats put up an American flag anywhere, I don't see it. But hey, at least they remembered their red, white, and Fox-news-blue colored "Bush Eats Babies and Destroys Science All The Time" bus. So there's that, right?

No worries, they're very environmentally conscious. I'm sure they'll recycle some for tonight. Unless it's too much trouble getting the ketchup stains out.
Obama's plane still has the
Obama's plane still has the flag.

I called the store to check
I just called the flag store, and apparently they are really hard to come by these days. Apparently some large group plans to spend all of next week wrapping themselves in flags. Go figure. Hmm. Weird.
Same story at the apple pie and bible stores. What could be afoot? Apparently it has something to do with the notion that Harley Davidsons are the "sound of freedom." Have you heard anything about this? That's what the store clerks I spoke to told me. Not sure what that's all about though.

OK, that picture doesn't look good, but I'm sure there's an
explanation. Besides, maybe I'm seeing things, but I saw flags on the stage. I'm calling this a non-story for now.

Flags in a bag. Big whoop. Unless no one would use a bag to carry things they intend to use...
Of course there is. They
Of course there is. They only broke them out for prime time, and then they threw them away. (Yes, those are trash bags. With trash in them. And flags.)
