Kudos to Mitch McConnell for throwing a wrench in the works over judical confirmations. This Lierberman-Warner stuff is cute, but serious matters should take precedence. I'd also point out that today should be seen as an object lesson to those who thought that the Democrats were bluffing a couple of years ago when they threatened to shut down the Senate had our leaders execute the so-called "nuclear option." Here is a bipartisan message: in the Senate, the minority is not impotent. As Senator McConnell said earlier today, what goes around comes around.
