Newt speaks for many of us:
Kick his ass, Newt!
All of this is a red herring
All of this is a red herring anyway, if you believe McCain is going to die in the first 3 weeks of the Presidency, you shouldn't be voting for him anyway. If he doesn't die that early, Palin will gain plenty of experience by working with him.
I've been slowly cogitating
I've been slowly cogitating a post on the apparent death-wishing of McCain by some, as if he were going to inevitably snuff it just moments after taking the oath due to sheer annuated decreptitude, but yeah, that about covers it.
McCain's mama is 96 and still kickin' ass and takin' names, his medical reports have been released in the hundreds if not thousands of pages and he's apparently in great health for any age over 30, but the spectre of him abruptly turning to dust in mid-sentence from advanced age is still being trotted out at every opportunity as a scare tactic.
In the meantime Obama's complete health records have been kept tightly under wraps, with nothing but general summary statements released, and Joe Joe Biden Biden (old enough at 66 to collect SS himself, just six years younger than McCain) has had BRAIN SURGERY for TWO aneurysms, but no one's been making much noise about those little items. BTW, have we seen Xerox Joe's medical records yet? Heh.
No
No, do you have some he can copy?

Other VP possibilities and their foreign policy experience
Lets consider a few things:
* What foreign policy experience does Mitt Romney have? Can he claim foreign policy experience because he's helped organize the Olympics?
* What foreign policy experience does Rudy Giuliani have? Does he have foreign policy experience because New York city bordered the Atlantic Ocean?
* What foreign policy experience does Mike Huckabee have? Does dealing with Mississippi and Oklahoma count as foreign policy experience?
Well, the media blasted
Well, the media blasted Hillary's experience. Richardson declared that if Musharraf resigned and the moderates gained control, the war on terror would steam to new hieghts. Yeah right. Dodd? Edwards? I have left comments about Biden so we can see sometimes even experience doesn't mean one "gets it right".
Now you have some points about the GOP candidates for VP, but then McCain has plenty of experience to compensate. Now Obama sites his vacation to Pakistan during college and his ealry childhood in Indonesia as his foreign policy experience.
So let's consider one thing:
What foreign policy experience does Obama have? And this is the same guy who said he didn't need to pick a natinal security wonk for VP because he was expert enough. Does dealing with the South Side count as foreign policy experience?
I don't trust Biden's
I don't trust Biden's foreign policy experience either, I would never vote for him as President, and neither would the country. People are whispering about how Biden will cream him in a debate, but I , personally, would be confident debating Biden.
But my point was just how silly the debate is over whether Palin has foreign policy experience
Just One Thing
Newt did say "just one thing." Here's one: Obama beat Hillary Clinton (and the machine that comes with her) to become the first major-party African-American nominee for president in US history. You guys have to admit, that's pretty well on par with beating an incumbent mayor or governor. Too bad the reporter seemed to be a lot better at asking questions than answering them.
