I think it's worth taking a few minutes to revisit the highlight of the convention.
I honestly find myself feeling more hopeful and optimistic for the future of this country than I have in months.

I know you've probably heard of all the National Enquirer allegations of Palin having an affair by now. Someone pointed me to a link though, and I just found out how much of a joke it is:

The "sourcing" for the National Enquirer was that the ex-business partner asked to have his divorce papers sealed. The Enquirer claimed it was to prevent disclosure of an affair with Palin. The ex-partner's request was denied by the court--and on examination the only place in the papers Palin was mentioned was in the sealing request itself. Seems the media was using the court papers to track down and harass the poor guy at his summer cabin (still co-owned with the Palins) trying to pester him about Palin rumors, and he wanted his contact info concealed to spare himself and his 11-yr-old the harrassment and annoyance.
