That's how many people watched Palin's speech last night - "55% higher than Day 3 of the DNC, when her Democratic counterpart, Joe Biden, and President Clinton took the stage (24 million) ... [and] came close to upsetting Obama's historic address on Thursday -- the most-watched convention speech in history (38.4 million viewers)." You always wonder how much of an effect these things can have - who's watching. I guess Lorie Byrd was right!

HT: WLS at Patterico)

Added: you know the difference between Barack's speech and Sarah's? People were still talking about Sarah's speech the next day.

What a week can mean in a dog race

Time sensitive AP story appearing on Road Runner

Well Simon, I think McCain loves the Press calling out Palin AND Obama for inflating their resumes. I think Obama loses on that exchange. It is rather amazing that in just a few days the magic of the Democratic Convention (was there any?) has been wiped away by Gustav and Palin.

And of course the story above is a bit slanted towards Obama. I could add much more on Obama's exaggerations.

"you know the difference

"you know the difference between Barack's speech and Sarah's? People were still talking about Sarah's speech the next day."

This is a mistake that too many people make about too many things. They start to believe that what they & their friends think/believe is a massive consensus. I'm sure Dems who have liberal blogs believe the exact opposite as you.

Pauline Kael Syndrome....

Yep yep. Advice to the GOP--go ahead and celebrate a bit, but don't get too giddy over a great draft pick. The season itself is just getting started.

I would not be surprised to see McC's numbers tonight a bit LOWER than Palin's.

I agree. Cuz people think

I agree. Cuz people think they know about McCain, but are curious about Palin.

Palin Humor

I saw this cleverness in the 'sphere and thought it might be apt here.

Do you know how the Palins should have avoided the firestorm about daughter Bristol's pregnancy?

A: Claim that John Edwards was the father.

Make that 40 million!

Make that 40 million.
