Today's "Progressive" Left

From Hufflepuff Huffington Post, some illustrated "insight" on the Lieberman/Lamont race in Connecticut as seen by "progressive" blogger (and producer of many fine mainstream family films) Jane Hamsher.

My, how much progress the progressives have made.

Given the graphics, no other comment necessary.

***UPDATE***: The "blackface" pic of Senator Lieberman that was at the top of Hamsher's post has been removed without any comment, but I snagged it before it vanished. For those who missed it, it's below the fold. I have not altered it any way from what was published on Hufflepuff Huffington Post.

***UPDATE***: Jane Hamsher has published a "defense" of the Joe-Lieberman-in-blackface graphic. I find it about as offensive as the original post. Your mileage may vary. Hamsher says the graphic was removed at the request of Lamont's campaign. Apparently Hufflepuff Huffington Post thought it was just fine.

***UPDATE***: WaPo has more. Lamont's campaign did not request the blackface graphic be pulled until after Lieberman's campaign had already blasted them for it in public. Here's the LOL line from the WaPo article:

Sounds like Lamont is learning one of the hard facts of campaigning--your "friends" can be a lot more trouble for you sometimes than your opponents. Zealous supporters will do things you really wish they wouldn't, things that can hurt you badly. They'll also do things you don't know about that you may be privately glad they did, but must publicly condemn and disavow. Just as Lamont is trying to disavow campaign volunteer, booster, and (according to the Hartford Courant) Lamont entourage member Jane Hamsher.
