The fact, as it turned out, was that her husband, Todd, was a member of the Alaskan Independence Party, and later left the party and became a registered Independent. But Palin did speak to an AIP covention meeting via video, although she's also spoken before a few Libertarian Party meetings. She's just been supportive of third parties. I also tried to brief people in a previous post about how in the 90s there was a lot going on in the AIP and I doubt even Todd was secessionist.
