What, you thought it was another post about a certain large-city newspaper? Au contraire! It's about the Democratic Party website Democrats.org, which wants us to be sure that Democrats really really do support the troops. They're just not sure whose troops they support...
Michelle Malkin has the story, along with some damning screen captures. The page was changed after people noticed that the pictures were not of American troops, but Canadian ones. Sounds strangely familiar, doesn't it?
UPDATE: The banner photo of the web page is also a generic stock photo from a photo service. C'mon, guys, it's not that tough! There are 1.4 million active-duty American soldiers and sailors, and another 1.3 million reserves and Guard. And how many millions of Democrats? Digital photography is cheap and easy, surely you can use photos of real American soldiers and real American Democrats on your web site, and not just generic stock photos of anonymous strangers and other nation's soldiers? Oh, well, at least the flag photo on the page (inserted where the Canadian soldier used to be) appears to be of a real American flag...though some folks think it looks like it's burning....
