We here at Stubborn Facts often like to make ample use of statistics and factual findings to support our arguments, so I don't know why none of us thought of this first. A company called StatAttak is producing a series of shirts that graphically represent the stats of various African issues. A percentage of the sale of each shirt will be used to help fund an orphanage in Mozambique.
Check it out: StatAttak shirts.
Those are marvelous -
Those are marvelous - they're graphically attractive (one's reminded of Peter Saville), an interesting way of representing statistics, and promote awful statistics in a way that catches attention.
"When someone says their heart needs lifting, don't ask how come, ask how high."
I thought it was a pretty cool idea...
Although I was expecting you all to make fun of me for posting about it. ;-)

No way, Fern, that was neat.
"In the world you will find tribulation, but be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world."
John 16:33
I think they're really cool
I think they're really cool too- my only complaint is that I can't get the javascript popups to work to see the detailed thumbnails- so I can't decipher what all of the stats are about. I can guess (and can barely make out the small print on one or two of the tee shirts) but others are mysteries.
Java Script Really Drives Me Nuts.
It seems like it causes pages to work improperly at least as often as it makes them do something cool.
