McCain Closes Eight-Point Gap From Poll Taken Last Weekend. Notice that this poll was conducted before Palin's widely-viewed knockout speech. Now, both Rasmussen and Gallup contradict this poll - at time of writing, Gallup says McCain trails by six and Rasmussen says by four. Should be interesting to see some numbers tomorrow and early next week from more comprehensive weekend polling.

After looking at the internals, I wouldn't take this one poll too seriously.

If you do want to take it seriously (I really advise not) the stereotypical undecided voter at this point tends to be an unmarried white woman under 45 who supported Clinton and who is slightly more likely to be an independent than a Democrat.

But really, I wouldn't take it too seriously. :-)
